A Week Crafting Day 1

Hi, I am so lucky that this week is being spent with a lovely group of friends crafting to our hearts delight, this is our third year of spending a whole week together, doing what we all love. I am hoping to blog each day to keep you up with what I have achieved.

I started the day by doing a quilting block from 'Todays Quilter' magazine. It was a bit fiddly but quite pleased how it turned out. I am planing on doing a block each day.

I also finished of a cushion cover which I started doing by the jelly roll method and then cut into triangles.

After a busy morning three of us went for a wander in the rain and bumped into these three Donkeys, who were not going to come out in the rain and say hello!!

I have also completed a few scrap booking pages too, this one of my niece and her friend. So keep a look out hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with some more bits and bobs. Have a great evening xx

Driving Lessons

Some times I struggle to do what I want on my blog it has a mind of its own, I obviously need blogging lessons.

Anyway Above is the start of my latest project using Hearts and Crafts lovely christmas stocking material this one is the nordic style but they also do the traditional style as well.

Today both my twin boys had there driving lessons. One was very confident and one was slightly nervous…the instructor said they both did well. So now for theory test and see how they go...

Finally a card made using my newly arrived Uniko stamps Gerbera I stamped the image then embossed. I coloured them with watercolour pencils and cut them out (I have now ordered the die cuts to match). Mounted the flowers on stitched die cut panel and die cut a banner for the sentiment. Added some ribbon and bling and a little wink of stellar and of course a little heart just for you June x

This card is for my lovely Mum whose birthday is the end of the week, But I will be jetting off to Spain with friends on Thursday can't wait for a bit of time with hubby. Photos to follow.

Sorry for absence

Apologies for the long absence, I guess I have just been busy with holidays and boys doing exams and results and of course some crafting in between. I have been going to a quilting club every thursday at Hearts and Crafts in Walkern near my home a really lovely shop run by a lovely lady Bev. I made this baby quilt for a new arrival to our extended family. I have sewn around the castles and some clouds, been a long job so I hope they like it when we get round to delivering it.

A male card, always hard to get ideas for male cards I made this one taking accents from different ideas on google images, quite pleased with the results.

I also made a wooden tag for the beautiful new arrival Jessica, to put with the quilt.
More castles, well I have a busy few months a head. We are planning to put our house on the market so will be busy with decorators and packing up so may be absent again for a while.  Will try and pop in now and again enjoy your bank holiday Monday. xxx
